01What happens in the clip
The reference is one continuous 6-second portrait shot. The Joker stands centred in a narrow street packed with bystanders, with metal watering cans hanging from a wall on the left. He crosses his fists under his chin, opens his hands into a heart and then a triangle in front of his mouth, sweeps his hands across his chest, rubs them together and finishes with cupped hands. He never speaks; his mouth stays closed while a rap vocal plays over a beat.
02Why people call it the Joker in the hood
The joke is the contrast: a famous film villain behaving like a local in a busy neighbourhood street. Under the reference reel, a commenter wrote "Joker in da hood", and on TikTok other creators post similar ideas as "POV: Joker Pulled Up To The Hood", "JOKER: The Hood Edition" and "What If The Joker was a Hood dude". Oakgen's name, Joker in the Hood, follows that wording. It is a description people already use, not an official title, and we have no data on how often anyone searches it.
03What Oakgen's template changes
You upload one photo. Your face, haircut and hair colour come from it. The template then paints that face with the Joker makeup (white base, black smudged eyes, red scarred smile) and dresses you in the purple suit, green waistcoat, chains and joker-card pendant. The street, the bystanders, the camera drift, the hand signs and the original sound stay as they are. The source performer's face and long green hair are not reused.
04What it does not change
There is one role and one fixed performance. You cannot pick different gestures, add a second person, move the street or remove the face paint: the paint and costume are the point of the trend. The output is about 6 seconds in portrait 9:16, the same length as the reference.
05Is it official?
No. The Joker is a DC character, and this is an unofficial, fan-style template. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by DC, Warner Bros. or anyone involved in the films. The preview on the trend page is the credited AI clip by @rdiiak, not footage from a film and not an Oakgen-generated result.
06Before you post
Use a photo of yourself or of someone who agreed to be in the video, and say that the clip is AI-made. Check that the face still reads as the person in the photo under the paint, and that the fingers stay clean when they press into the triangle around the 2-second mark. If you show the source beside your version, credit @rdiiak and label the two clips separately.
