I Heard You the First Time Bro AI Video

"I heard you the first time, bro. Why you keep saying it like a robot?" is the customer's comeback in the card declined skit, and one of the names the meme goes by. This page is about that one line: when it is said, what leads up to it, what the frame shows while it is spoken, and how to caption it on your own version. The dialogue comes from a machine transcript checked against the visible mouth, so the wording is approximate.

The comeback, in context

01

Who says it and when

The customer says it, from about 8.2 to 10.5 seconds of the 14-second clip. It is the longest line he has and it follows the cashier's repeats almost at once, with only a fraction of a second between them. The cashier is filming from behind the counter, so the customer is the only person whose face is ever on screen. That makes this the line where the customer's mouth carries the most.

02

What sets it up

For the first five seconds the two bicker over the card and over who is rushing whom. Then, from about 5 to 8 seconds, the cashier repeats that the card declined roughly four times in a flat voice. The comeback answers the repeats, not the decline itself: the first half is about being told again, and the second half is about the voice. Every line before it, with speakers and times, is on Card Declined Skit Dialogue: Every Line With Times.

03

What the second half does

"Why you keep saying it like a robot?" is the half that matters for the rest of the clip. It puts the robot comparison into words, and the closing ChatGTT jab pays it off a few seconds later. In between, the cashier gives only a two-word reply, at roughly 10.5 to 11.5 seconds. If you trim your version, keep the comeback and the jab together.

04

What is on screen while it is said

The customer stands behind the counter in a black track jacket with white sleeve stripes, a white T-shirt and gold chains, with a black phone in hand. A white card terminal sits at the left of the counter and a large white point-of-sale screen fills the bottom of the frame. In our frame review the cashier's hand points at that screen from about 9.8 to 11.5 seconds, so the pointing starts near the end of the comeback and carries on through the cashier's reply.

05

Where captions go

This is the one place we cover captions for this trend. The bottom third of the frame is taken by the till screen, which is part of the joke because it shows the decline, and the cashier's hand points into that area from about 9.8 to 11.5 seconds. So put any caption near the top, above the customer's head. If you caption the closing jab as well, keep the ChatGTT spelling; the misspelling is the joke.

06

When to show the text

The lines run back to back, so captions cannot wait for a pause. Two timings work. A setup caption at the top for the first five seconds, such as being told the same thing four times, then let the comeback play without text. Or show the comeback itself from about 8.2 seconds and clear it by 10.5, split into two short lines: "I heard you the first time, bro" and then "Why you keep saying it like a robot?"

07

Casting the line with your photo

The customer is the only role, so your photo is the face that says the comeback. A sharp, front-facing photo with the face large in frame suits it, because he faces the camera for most of the clip. When you check the result, the mouth should move from about 8.2 to 10.5 seconds and make no word-forming movement while the cashier talks. The video keeps the original sound. Use a photo of yourself or of someone who agreed, and label it as AI-made.

    Add the customer

Upload one clear photo of yourself, or of someone who has agreed to appear, with the face and the outfit you want at the counter.

  2. 02

    Review quality and price

Choose 480p, 720p or 1080p. The credit quote covers the full 14-second video plus the photo and scene preparation.

  3. 03

    Check the comeback

Watch that your mouth moves on the customer's lines and stays quiet while the cashier repeats the declined line, then download your portrait MP4 with sound.

01

You are the customer

Your photo replaces the customer at the counter: face, hair and outfit. The cashier stays behind the camera, so only their hand appears, reaching for the card and pointing at the screen.

02

The whole exchange

The 14 seconds run from the card going on the reader, through the back-and-forth about rushing, the repeated declined line and the customer's comeback, to the phone going back to the ear.

03

One continuous take

A single handheld portrait shot from behind a streetwear store counter, with the card terminal and the till screen in the foreground. No cuts, no added ending.

Questions & answers

What is the card declined AI trend?

It is a checkout-counter skit filmed from behind the till: the customer's card keeps getting declined, the cashier keeps saying so in the same flat voice, and the customer snaps back. Oakgen lets your photo play the customer.

What do they say in the card declined video?

Transcribed from the clip by machine, so the wording may differ slightly. The cashier says "just keep it on there, bro", "you rushing it" and then "the card declined" several times in a flat voice. The customer answers "no, you rushing me", "I heard you the first time, bro, why you keep saying it like a robot?" and closes with a short "ChatGTT lookin'" jab.

What does ChatGTT lookin' ahh mean?

It is the customer's closing joke, a deliberate misspelling of ChatGPT: the cashier repeats the same line like a chatbot. People use "ChatGTT" and "I heard you the first time bro" as names for this meme, and the original clip carries the #chatgtt hashtag.

Where does the clip come from?

The audio and the scene come from a longer checkout video posted on TikTok by @hangtimeindytv on 26 July 2026. Template sites describe Hangtime Indy as an Indianapolis streetwear store; we have not confirmed that ourselves. The trend uses the 14-second card-declined exchange from it.

Is there a dog version?

Yes. Pet accounts have reused the same audio with a dog at the counter, for example an Instagram reel by @goldenretrieverswitze. The customer role accepts a pet photo as well as a person, but we have not reviewed a pet result yet, so check yours before sharing.

Can I use a photo of someone else?

Only use photos of yourself or of people who have agreed to appear. Do not upload private photos of others or anyone's likeness without permission, and label AI videos clearly when you share them.

Does it keep the original sound?

Yes. The final MP4 keeps the original exchange between the customer and the cashier. Generated lip sync can vary, so check that only the customer's lines move your mouth.

How long is the video?

The output is 14 seconds in portrait 3:4 format, covering the whole card-declined exchange.

Can I change the store or the dialogue?

No. The counter, the camera and the dialogue are fixed by this reference. Your choices are the photo and the output resolution.

Is the preview generated by Oakgen?

No. It is the original reference clip, not an Oakgen result. Generated likeness, hands and the phone can vary, so review your video before sharing.

How much does it cost?

2,808 credits per 720p video. The quote includes the customer photo preparation, one scene reference and the full 14-second video. Review the selected resolution's quote before generating.
