It's Just Alcohol Barber Meme From Two Photos

The barber meme where someone flinches at a dab of alcohol and gets told "Boy, it's just alcohol" has two people in it: the one in the chair who does too much and the one behind it who says the line. Oakgen's Boy It's Just Alcohol template recasts both from two photos. This page is about those two photos: what each one changes, what neither can change, and which friend belongs in which slot.

What each photo controls in the barber meme

01

Two roles, two required photos

The Customer sits in the barber chair under a black cape, flinches from the tissue, throws the cape around and waves the barber off. The Barber stands behind the chair on the right, sprays the tissue, dabs the forehead and says the line. Both slots need a photo before the template starts. An empty slot does not fall back to the original pair, because the motion guide replaces both of them with grey silhouettes.

02

What the Customer photo sets

Face, hair, skin tone and build, or a pet's species, face and coat. The customer wears a plain black barber cape with thin white pinstripes over their own clothes; when an arm comes out from under the cape during the big sweep, the sleeve is the one in your photo. The cape has no lettering or logo.

03

What the Barber photo sets

Face, hair, build and outfit. The template adds two small props in the barber's hands: a plain black spray bottle and a folded white tissue, neither with a label. The barber delivers the main line. Each mouth follows its own visible movements, including the customer's brief response near the end.

04

What stays fixed

The barbershop itself: the black brick wall with the white light strip, the white wall with a black metal flag panel, the black leather chairs, the mirrors and the other customers and barbers small in the background. The handheld camera, every move and its timing and the original sound stay as they are. You cannot add a third person or change the room inside the template.

05

Who goes in which slot

The joke works when the chair holds the person who overreacts to everything and the barber slot holds the calm one who has seen it all. A friend who is famously dramatic about small things, a sibling, or a dog that hates baths are all good customers. A coworker, a parent or the friend who always says "relax" makes a good barber.

06

Photos that work for each slot

One subject per photo, the face toward the camera, even light. The shot is close, so a head-and-shoulders photo is enough for both. For the Customer, a photo with the hair visible helps, because the cape goes over the head and comes back down. For the Barber, a photo in the top you want them to wear helps, because it is on screen the whole time.

How to make it

    Add two photos

Upload the Customer and the Barber, one subject per photo: yourself, a friend who agreed to appear, a pet or a character. A clear face and upper body work best, because the shot is close.

  2. 02

    Review quality and price

Choose 480p, 720p or 1080p and review the quote. It includes both photo preparations and the full video.

  3. 03

Check the cape and the line

Watch that the customer keeps their face when the cape comes back down, that the two never swap, and that the barber's mouth matches the line, then download your portrait MP4.

01

Anyone in the chair

The customer takes the face, hair and build from their photo and wears a plain black pinstriped barber cape over their own clothes. Put the friend who overreacts to everything in the chair; a pet or a character works too and keeps its species.

02

Anyone behind the chair

The barber takes the face, hair and outfit from their photo, holds a plain spray bottle and a tissue, and says the line. Nothing of either reference performer is kept.

03

The real barbershop, the same timing

The black brick wall, the light strip, the leather chairs and the busy shop behind stay as they are. The template follows the reference beat for beat in one continuous 10-second handheld take.

04

The line everybody knows

Your video keeps the reference's sound: the barber's "Boy, you always doing too much... it's just alcohol" line and the room tone. No music.

Photo tips

  • One subject per photo
  • Both photos are required
  • Face and shoulders visible
  • Put the overreactor in the chair
  • Even light, no heavy shadows
  • Check the cape throw

Questions & answers

What is the Boy It's Just Alcohol trend?

It is a meme built on a barbershop moment: a barber sprays alcohol onto a tissue and dabs a customer's forehead, the customer flinches and swats like it burns, and the barber says "Boy, you always doing too much. Boy, it's just alcohol. Acting like a kid." This AI version is a 10-second portrait clip in which the customer throws the whole barber cape around. Oakgen's template puts your two photos in those two roles and keeps the shop, the timing and the line.

Why is it called Boy It's Just Alcohol?

That is the name the meme already goes by, taken from the barber's line. It is also known as "you always doing too much" and "acting like a kid".

Do I need both photos?

Yes. Both roles are replaced in every video, so the Customer and the Barber each need a photo before you can generate. Neither performer from the reference is kept.

Who says the line?

The Barber, the one standing behind the chair. The Customer reacts by flinching, ducking under the cape and waving their arms, with a brief mouth response near the end. Put whoever should get roasted in the chair.

What do they wear?

Each keeps the outfit in their own photo. The template adds the props of the scene: a plain black pinstriped barber cape over the customer, and a plain spray bottle and white tissue in the barber's hands. None of them carries lettering.

Can a pet be the customer?

Yes. Either role takes a pet, a person or a character photo and keeps its species. A dog in the chair under a barber cape, swatting at the tissue with a paw, is a good way to play it; review paws and the cape throw before sharing.

Is there music?

No song. The video keeps the reference's original sound: the barber's spoken line and the barbershop room tone. Your photos do not change the voice.

Whose photos can I use?

Your own, your pets, or people who agreed to be in the video. Do not upload photos of celebrities, public figures or anyone who has not consented, keep it obviously a joke and label AI videos clearly when you share them.

How long is the video?

About 10 seconds in portrait 9:16, one continuous take from the first spray to the customer settling back under the cape.

Is the preview generated by Oakgen?

No. It is the AI reference clip the trend comes from, with its watermark removed, not an Oakgen result. Review both faces and the cape throw in your video before sharing.

How much does it cost?

2,061 credits per 720p video. The quote includes both photo preparations and the complete video. Check it before generating.
