Video trend
If you came here from the sound rather than the dance, this is it. The track under the Bad Times trend is "BAD TIMES" by Imael Angel. Here is how we checked that, which part of the song the 20-second template covers and how the moves line up with it.
"BAD TIMES" is a single by Imael Angel. Apple Music lists it as released on 30 March 2026, alongside longer versions with the same title. A music-recognition service matched two separate 8-second sections of the template's audio to "BAD TIMES (Long Version)" by Imael Angel, and the opening of Apple Music's preview of the single lines up beat for beat with a later stretch of the trend's sound.
The template uses the first 20 seconds of the sound the trend uses. A short rising intro gives way to the beat at about 2 seconds, the beat drops out and the vocal hook comes in at about 11 seconds, and the beat returns at about 19.6 seconds. Longer posts of the trend keep going from there; the template ends just after that return.
The poses with the paws or hands land on the beat in the first 10 seconds. The walk up to the camera happens as the beat drops out, so the close-up argument plays over the vocal hook. The step back and the final lean-in for the stare meet the moment the beat comes back.
No. The vocal is on the soundtrack only. The dancer's mouth stays closed or relaxed apart from a quick tongue flick near the end, and nobody lip-syncs, which is why the template works for any pet whatever the shape of its mouth.
Your finished video keeps the original soundtrack of the reference clip, timed to the same 20 seconds. If you swap the sound when you post, the poses and the stare will no longer meet the beat exactly.
Search suggestions show both ways in: the song with the artist, or the trend with a pet, such as "bad times dog trend". On Oakgen the template is called Bad Times Dance, and both lead to the same video.
Add a photo for the dancer.
Upload one clear photo of your pet, or of yourself or someone who agreed to appear. A full-body photo with the face, ears, legs and paws visible works best, and the face needs to be sharp for the close-up.
Choose 480p, 720p or 1080p and review the quote. It includes the full video, your photo preparation and three scene preparations.
Watch that the face, coat and markings stay your pet's when it leans into the lens and that its paws stay paws, then download your portrait MP4 with the original song.
One photo casts the dancer. A dog stays a dog and a cat stays a cat, with its own face, coat, markings and tail, standing upright on its hind legs. A person can take the role too and does the routine with hands and feet.
Paws pressed to the head, paws thrown up, a paw on the hip, the palms-out push, then the walk up to the lens and the close-up argument with a paw pointed at the camera.
All 20 seconds in one continuous take, timed to "BAD TIMES" by Imael Angel, from the first pose to the stare into the lens as the beat drops back in.
The preview is a recreation of the trend with a dog. It is the motion and timing reference, not an Oakgen result.
It is a 20-second portrait clip of a dog standing upright on its hind legs in a bright kitchen and dancing to "BAD TIMES" by Imael Angel: paws pressed to the head, paws thrown up, a paw on the hip, a palms-out push, then a walk right up to the camera to argue at close range, pointing a paw at the lens, before it steps back and leans in for a stare. Oakgen's template puts your pet, or you, in the dog's place and keeps the kitchen, the moves and the song.
After the song. Cats, dogs and people all post the routine as the Bad Times trend, and searches such as "bad times dog trend" and "bad times ai dance" show up as suggestions. Oakgen calls the template Bad Times Dance.
"BAD TIMES" by Imael Angel, identified from the audio. Your video keeps that original soundtrack. Nobody in the video sings or lip-syncs; the dancer only dances and gestures.
Yes. The template keeps the uploaded animal's species, coat and markings and has it stand upright on its hind legs for the whole routine. Bodies very different from a tall, long-legged dog vary more, and paws reaching toward the lens are the hardest moment, so review the video before sharing.
Yes. A person takes the dancer's place and does the same poses and the close-up argument with hands and feet, in the same kitchen. Use your own photo or one of someone who agreed to appear.
The first 20 seconds of the sound the trend uses: the beat under the poses, then the vocal hook from about 11 seconds while the dancer argues at close range, ending as the beat drops back in. Longer posts of the trend carry on with more of the routine; this template stops at that drop.
