You have seen the clip: two mourners at a funeral, one asks the other what the move is, and the other explains, hands going, that there is no move. This guide takes you from choosing photos to posting, in order. When your video is back, the companion article, checking your What's the Move result, walks through it second by second.
Cast your own funeral exchange
Add a photo for the asker and one for the answerer, review your credit quote and make the 11-second clip with the original sound.
What the template gives you
The template is the whole reel in one handheld take, about 11 seconds in portrait. It opens on a low close-up of the asker, who asks "what's the move now, bro?". The camera swings to the answerer in the next seats, who answers for about five and a half seconds that there is no move, ending on "that's the final move". A whip-pan turns to the front of the service while a last line is said off camera, and a quick whip back ends it. The original sound stays in your video.

The answerer mid-reply, with the asker's cap in the foreground. This is the reference reel by @kingbach, not an Oakgen output.
Step 1: Decide who asks and who answers
The two roles are not equal, and the casting is the joke.
| Asker | Answerer | |
|---|---|---|
| What they say | The question, once, at the start | The long reply and the punchline |
| How the camera sees them | Close-up from below for about 2.5 seconds, then from behind or in profile at the right edge | Medium shot, seated, both hands moving, for about 5.5 seconds |
| Best photo | Sharp, front-facing, the whole head and hair visible | Face plus the top half of the outfit |
Put the friend who would really ask this question in the asker slot. Put the one who would explain the obvious with total commitment in the answerer slot. For a role-by-role breakdown, see casting the asker and the answerer.
Step 2: Pick the photos
- One person per photo, nobody else in the frame.
- Use photos of yourself or of people who agreed to be in the video. Do not use photos of public figures or of anyone who has died.
- Faces sharp and front-facing, no sunglasses, no hand in front of the mouth. Both roles talk on camera, and the mouth needs something to work from.
- Pick two people who look clearly different, so the roles stay readable through the swing and the whip-pans.
- Plain, recent photos without heavy filters. The outfit in the photo is the outfit in the video.
Step 3: Check the quote and generate
Choose 480p, 720p or 1080p. The quote covers the full video, the preparation of both photos and three scene references, and the studio shows it before anything starts. Both slots must have a photo before the button works.
Step 4: Check the result
Watch once with sound and once without. With sound: the asker talks only at the start, the answerer through the middle, and nobody on screen mouths the last line. Without sound: the two faces stay the same people through the swing at about 2.6 seconds and the whip-pans after 8.3 seconds, and nobody in the background has taken either face. The result check has the full list with timestamps.
Step 5: Caption it and post it kindly
Your video comes out without the original's caption bar, so add your own. The original works because it states the setup in one line: who asked, what, and where. Caption ideas and placement has variations and the safest place for text in the frame.
Then:
- Say the video is AI-made and credit @kingbach for the original clip.
- Keep the joke on the question. The template keeps the other mourners and the speaker with the white cane unchanged and out of the joke; keep your caption that way too.
- If you or your audience have had a recent loss, consider waiting. Posting a funeral meme without being cruel goes through this in more detail.
Where the words come from
The lines are from the reel's original audio, transcribed by machine and checked against the visible mouths, so the wording is close rather than exact. The full exchange with times is on every line of the funeral meme, and the source page covers the original post and what we could not confirm.
