Kling 4.0 is Kuaishou's newest Kling video model, launched on October 15, 2026. On Oakgen, where it is listed as Kling V4, it makes silent videos of 3 to 30 seconds at 720p or 1080p. It has four modes: text to video, image to video with an optional end frame, reference to video, and video edit.

How to use Kling 4.0
Pick the mode
Use text to video for a scene from words alone, image to video to animate a start frame (add an end frame to fix where the shot lands), reference to video to keep characters, objects or a look from your files, or video edit to change a clip you already have.
Write the prompt and name your references
Describe the subject, the action and the camera. In reference and edit modes, refer to your files by name in the prompt: @Image1 for the first reference image, @Video1 for the first clip, @Element1 for the first character or object.
Set length, resolution and frame
Choose any length from 3 to 30 seconds, 720p or 1080p, and an aspect ratio in text or reference mode. In video edit, leave the length empty to match the source clip.
