How to Make the Dog Cake Smash AI Video With Your Pet

The Dog Cake Smash is a 9-second clip of a chocolate labrador and a man sharing a white cake at a table. The dog carries the cake in, hands over a spoon, they both take a bite, and then the dog stands up on its hind legs and shoves the whole cake into the man's face while "Con la Misma Piedra" by Julio Iglesias plays on. You supply both characters. This guide goes from casting to posting. When your video is back, the companion article, checking your Dog Cake Smash result, walks through it second by second.

Bring the cake to the table

Add two photos, review your credit quote and make the 9-second Dog Cake Smash with the original song.

What the template gives you

A 9-second portrait clip with the original song, from a fixed camera with no cuts. You replace both characters. Everything else stays: the grey stone table, the sheer white curtains, the navy chairs, the round white cake with its red berry top on a gold board, and the timing of every beat from the cake arriving to the fall.

Reference frame: a chocolate labrador and a man in a sage-green T-shirt sit side by side at a grey stone table, each holding a spoon over a white cake with a red berry top, in front of white curtains

The shared bite from the original clip, not an Oakgen output. In your video both seats come from your photos.

Time (about)What happens
0 to 1.5 sThe smasher carries the cake in upright and sits down behind it
1.5 to 3 sThe smasher hands a spoon to the target
3 to 5.5 sBoth eat a spoonful; the target turns to look at the smasher
5.5 to 6.8 sThe smasher looks at the camera
6.8 to 7.8 sThe smasher lifts the whole cake and stands up tall
7.8 to 8.1 sThe cake goes into the target's face
8.1 to 8.9 sThe target falls back in the chair, legs in the air

Step 1: Cast the two seats

The smasher, on the left, brings the cake and does the smash. The target, on the right, eats happily and takes the cake in the face. The classic version is your pet as the smasher and you as the target, but the actions belong to the seat, not the species: put yourself on the left and your dog gets the cake. Dog and owner cake AI video: cast both seats goes through the choice in more detail.

Step 2: Pick the photos

For each seat, one subject per photo:

  1. Face toward the camera. The target's face is visible almost the whole time, and the smasher looks into the lens just before the smash.
  2. Front paws or hands visible. They hold a spoon, carry the cake board and push it.
  3. Two subjects that look different. It makes any swap between the seats easy to see.
  4. Even light, no filters. Shadows on a face make it harder to keep.

Both photos are required. The template turns the reference dog and man into grey silhouettes, so neither is kept in your video.

Step 3: Read the quote

Open the Dog Cake Smash template, add a photo to the Smasher and Target slots and pick a quality: 480p, 720p or 1080p. The studio shows the credit price before you generate. It covers the full video and both photo preparations. A 480p run is the cheaper way to test new photos first.

Step 4: Check the result

Watch it once with sound and once muted. Look for each face staying in its own seat, one cake and two spoons, paws staying paws on the cake board, and the cake landing on the target's face before the fall. The second-by-second checklist covers each stretch and the one change to try if something is off. Dog smashes cake in owner's face, beat by beat has the reference timings.

Step 5: Post it

The joke is the first 7 seconds of sweetness, so caption the setup, not the smash: "Sharing my birthday cake with my best friend" works better than "watch what my dog does". Use a frame from the shared bite as the cover, keep text over the curtains at the top, and let the clip run to the end. More ideas are in cake in face prank AI video: captions and posting.
