Your Dog Cake Smash video is back. This guide is for checking it, not making it: what to look at in each stretch of the 9 seconds, which photo choice can sit behind a flaw, and the one change to try next. With two characters this close together, the most important check is that they never swap. How to make it in the first place is in the how-to guide.
Make another take
Try sharper photos or swap who smashes and who gets smashed, and make the Dog Cake Smash again.
Watch it twice first
Watch once with sound, following the cake from the doorway to the face. Then watch once muted, following only the two faces. A swap usually shows up as one character's face or coat appearing in the other seat, often during the stand-up when the two are closest.

The shared bite from the original clip, not an Oakgen output. Your smasher should be on the left and your target on the right.
Second by second
| Time (about) | What happens | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| 0 to 1.5 s | The cake arrives | The smasher walks in on the left holding one cake on a gold board. The target is already seated on the right. |
| 1.5 to 3 s | The spoons | Two spoons in total. The smasher's paw or hand holds its spoon; the target takes the other. |
| 3 to 5.5 s | The shared bite | Both eat from the same cake. Mouths open only for the bite, with no singing or talking. |
| 5.5 to 7.8 s | The stand-up | The whole cake lifts off the table on its board. Paws stay paws, hands stay hands. Neither face has changed since the start. |
| 7.8 to 8.9 s | The smash and the fall | The cake lands on the target's face and turns into cream on the face and chest, then the target falls back with legs up. No added ending. |
Common flaws and what to try
We have not reviewed generated results from this template yet, so the flaws below are ones we expect from the way it works, and the suggestions are untested. Every re-run is a full new generation at the quoted price and can repeat the same flaw, so try a cheaper quality first and change only one thing at a time.
The two swap faces. Most likely when the two photos look alike, or during the stand-up when the smasher leans over the target. Two subjects with clearly different faces and colours, such as a dark dog and a person, are easier to keep apart.
A second cake or a third spoon appears. The template asks for exactly one cake and two spoons. If the cake splits or doubles before the smash, decide whether a re-run is worth the cost.
Paws turn into hands. An animal holding a spoon and a cake board is the hardest part for the model. A photo that shows the front legs and paws clearly gives it more to work with than a head shot.
The cake misses the face. The push is fast. A sharp, front-facing target photo helps the face stay where the cake lands.
Grey patches or blue lines. The template guides the motion with grey silhouettes and blue face contours that should never show in the result. Any left on screen are a generation error.
Before you post
Say that the video is AI-made and use photos only of your own pets or of people who agreed to appear. Use the shared bite as your cover so the smash stays a surprise. For captions, see cake in face prank AI video: captions and posting. To recast the seats, see dog and owner cake AI video: cast both seats.

Frequently asked questions
How do I know my Dog Cake Smash video is ready to post?
Check five stretches: the cake arriving, the spoons, the shared bite, the stand-up and the smash. If the two never swap faces, there is one cake and two spoons, and the cake lands on the target's face before the fall, it is ready.
Why is the cake not on my face at the end?
The smash lasts about a third of a second, so a miss is easy to overlook. If the cake goes past the face, re-run with a sharper, front-facing photo for the target; it is a generation error, not part of the template.
Can I regenerate just the smash?
No. The template makes the whole clip in one pass, so any fix is a new run of the full video at the quote the studio shows, and a re-run can repeat the same flaw. Change one thing at a time.
Is the preview video made by Oakgen?
No. It is the original clip the trend comes from. We have not published an Oakgen result for this template, so compare your video with the reference rather than assuming they will match.
