Foxy AI Alternatives: What to Use When You Run More Than One AI Persona

The best Foxy AI alternatives depend on why Foxy stopped fitting. Foxy (foxy.ai) is built for one job. It trains an AI model of you from three photos and makes photos and short videos of that model. It gets awkward when you want to run fictional personas, because Foxy only lets you train on photos of yourself. A character not based on you has to be bought ready-made from the Foxy Shop. If you want to design several original personas, look at Oakgen AI Influencers, Ryla or OpenArt Characters. If you want a free start, Ryla has a free plan. If you want trend videos, look at Higgsfield.

Disclosure: Oakgen is our product. We include it because it is built for this job, and we say below where Foxy and the other tools do better. Every competitor fact comes from the vendor's own page, read on November 4, 2026.

Design a persona from a description

Write who they are, cast a face, run a 12-shot photoshoot and save a voice. No photo of you needed.

Which Foxy AI this post covers

This post is about foxy.ai, the AI photo and video tool for creators. It is not FoxyAI at foxyai.com, a real estate company that analyses property photos with computer vision. It is also not the AI companion chat apps that review sites list under the Foxy name. A 2024 press release described foxy.ai itself as an invite-only companion platform. Prices you see for message plans and tokens belong to that chat product, not to today's photo tool.

Foxy AI alternatives compared

The table compares what matters when you run more than one persona: how a character is made, how many you can keep, and the entry price. "Not stated" means the vendor page we read did not say.

Who this comparison is for

Three kinds of reader search for Foxy AI alternatives:

  • A creator who used Foxy for their own face and now wants a second, fictional persona for a niche account.
  • A small agency that wants to run five or more AI influencers and needs to know what each extra persona costs and whether the tool allows it.
  • Someone who wants to try an AI influencer tool before paying, and found that Foxy asks you to pick a plan before you can generate.

If you are building your first persona from scratch, start with how to create an AI influencer that stays the same person. If you already run several, our hub on running an AI influencer agency covers persona bibles, account risk and team roles.

How we checked

On November 4, 2026 we read foxy.ai's homepage and AI influencers page for pricing, and seven Foxy help centre articles on characters, slots, uploads, the Shop, plans and video. We read the pricing pages of Ryla, OpenArt and Higgsfield, Higgsfield's AI Influencer page, Foxy's Trustpilot page and the FoxyAI real estate site. Oakgen facts come from our AI Influencers code and the live Oakgen pricing page, read the same day.

We did not sign up for Foxy or the other tools, and we did not run our own image tests. This post makes no claim about which tool makes the most realistic face. If realism is your deciding factor, run the 20-image AI influencer drift test on a free or cheapest plan before you commit.

Foxy AI review: what it does well and where it stops

Foxy is a phone-first content tool. You open the Characters tab, upload three photos (one frontal face shot and two full-body shots), and Foxy says the character is usually ready in under a minute. From the Create tab you pick a photo template, a video template, a carousel or a custom prompt.

What Foxy does well, from its own pages:

  • A short path to content of you. Three photos and a template is less setup than any tool in this list.
  • Video with sound. Clips run 5 to 30 seconds depending on the model, in 4:5, 9:16 or 16:9. Foxy says every video gets AI audio that fits the scene, with lip-sync "where the moment calls for it".
  • Credits that roll over. Unused credits carry to the next billing period while the account stays active, and failed generations refund automatically. Annual plans deliver the year's credits upfront.
  • Exclusive pre-made characters. A Shop character can be bought by only one customer and stays in your account if you cancel.

Where it stops, for someone running personas:

  • Only your own photos. The help centre says "You can only upload photos of yourself." That rule covers training photos and every other upload. Foxy frames it as protection against impersonation and non-consensual content, which is a fair reason. It still means you cannot design an original face from a description and train on it.
  • One character per image. Two saved characters cannot appear in the same image yet. Foxy says multi-character media is "coming soon", and for now extra people come from the prompt text.
  • Slots cost credits and do not come back. Deleting a character does not return its slot. Retraining a slot with new photos is free.
  • No free plan. The homepage pricing lists none, and the help centre's getting-started steps put picking a plan before generating.

On reviews, Foxy's AI influencers page says it is rated 4.9 on Trustpilot. The Trustpilot page we read on November 4 showed a 3.5 TrustScore from 4 reviews. The newest, dated October 18, 2026, said the app kept sending them back to the plans screen after their card was charged. Four reviews is too few to judge a product, so read it as a reason to keep your receipts.

Does Foxy limit you to one character?

Several guides say Foxy limits you to one character per account. That is out of date. As of November 4, 2026, Foxy's help article "How many AIs can I create?" says "there's no hard limit". One slot is free and each extra slot costs 10 credits. The real limit for persona work is the own-photos rule, not the slot count.

Foxy AI pricing as of November 2026

Foxy has three plans. The old foxy.ai/pricing address does not load. Prices sit in the pricing section of the homepage and the feature pages, with a monthly and a yearly toggle.

Foxy planMonthly billingYearly billing, per monthCredits a monthWhat Foxy says the credits make
Starter$9$68080 images or 8 videos
Creator$39$26350350 images or 35 videos
ProFrom $79, with tiers up to $999From $53, with tiers up to $669From 750750 images or 75 videos at the base tier

Image and video counts are alternatives, not a combined allowance. Video cost depends on length and model, and Foxy shows the exact credit cost before you generate. On Starter you generate 2 images or 1 video at a time, and on Pro 10 images or 5 videos.

For persona work, add the slot cost. Every character after the first costs 10 credits from your balance. On Starter, two extra characters use a quarter of the month's 80 credits before you make a single image.

Foxy AI alternatives by job

Oakgen AI Influencers for original personas with a voice

Oakgen's AI Influencers studio starts from words. You describe the person in up to 2,000 characters, cast four candidate faces, refine one by chat, then run a 12-shot photoshoot of eight face angles and four body shots. Each character holds up to 16 reference images. You pick one voice from the ElevenLabs library and save its sample with the character. You can also start from a photo, but the studio asks you to use only people who agreed.

After that you type @ and the character's name in Create, and the right references go in with your prompt for an image, a video or a voiceover. For video you can pick a model such as Kling 4.0, which makes 3 to 30 second silent clips at 720p or 1080p. For a quick talking test, the talking photo tool animates a still to speak a line.

It fits multi-persona work because we found no cap on the number of characters in the library code, the library has a search box, and each persona keeps its own references and voice.

It is weaker than Foxy in two ways. There is no Shop of exclusive pre-made characters. And Kling 4.0 clips are silent, while Foxy says it adds scene audio to every video. AI Influencers needs a paid plan, from Basic at $9 a month for 2,000 credits on the pricing page we read. Each step shows its credit price on the button before you press it. Faces can still drift across many generations, so check them.

Open the character library

Cast each persona once, then type @Name to bring their face and voice into any image, video or voiceover.

Start your first character

Ryla for a stated persona cap per plan

Ryla designs characters in a step-by-step builder (niche, look, outfit, personality, voice) and needs no photo of you. Its pricing page, read November 4, 2026, lists the clearest persona limits in this group:

  • Free: $0, 500 one-time credits, 1 AI influencer.
  • Basic: $34.99 a month, 10,000 credits, 2 influencers.
  • Pro: $99.99 a month, 32,000 credits, 6 influencers, with talking avatars, video face swap and 4K.
  • Agency: $199.99 a month, 75,000 credits, 15 influencers.

Ryla is the better pick if you want to know your persona ceiling before you pay, or if you want a true free plan to try a builder. It is more expensive than Foxy or Oakgen at entry. Talking avatars start on Pro. Pro and Agency also list "Unrestricted Fan Content", so check the content rules against the platforms you post to.

OpenArt Characters for many characters per dollar

OpenArt is a broad image and video suite with characters inside it. Its pricing page, read November 4, 2026, showed Starter at $13 a seat a month (struck through from $14) with "Up to ~13 consistent characters", Plus at $27 with about 40, Pro at $44 with about 80, and Wonder at $175 with about 353. "Commercial use rights" appears on Plus and above, not on Starter.

Pick OpenArt if character count per dollar matters most and you want many image and video models in the same account. It is a general suite, not an influencer workflow, so persona bibles and voices are up to you. Our OpenArt alternatives post compares it with other suites.

Higgsfield AI Influencer for trend motion videos

Higgsfield's AI Influencer page lets you "Start with your photo or create someone new", then pick a trend motion or upload a 3 to 30 second clip and have the influencer copy it. That is a different job from Foxy's photo templates, and it is stronger for dance and motion trends.

The pricing page we read showed Starter at $19 a month billed yearly with 270 credits, Plus at $47 a month billed yearly with 1,200 credits, and Ultra at $99 a month billed yearly. A Free column appears in its feature table. The page did not state a character limit per plan. If Higgsfield is your main shortlist, read our Higgsfield alternatives first.

Glambase and Enhancor

Glambase calls itself an AI influencer creation platform, and our Glambase alternatives post covers what it is and which Glambase you are looking at. Enhancor is an AI skin texture tool that you would add after generation, not a persona builder. If your Foxy images look plastic, see Enhancor AI alternatives or our guide to fixing plastic skin in AI portraits.

Is there a free Foxy AI alternative?

Yes, with limits. As of November 4, 2026:

  • Ryla has the clearest free plan, with 500 credits once at signup, 1 AI influencer and no card. The credits do not refill.
  • Higgsfield shows a Free column on its pricing page. We did not confirm how many AI Influencer generations it includes.
  • Foxy lists no free plan, and you pick a plan before you generate.
  • Oakgen has a free tier for a few models, but the AI Influencers studio is on paid plans only.

A free plan is enough to test whether a tool keeps one face steady across 20 images. It is not enough to run a persona. Budget for a paid plan once a tool passes that test.

The persona-scaling scorecard

Use this before you pay for any AI influencer tool, Foxy included. Each question is one we had to answer from vendor pages to write this post. The Foxy column is filled in from its help centre on November 4, 2026. Copy the table and fill in the right column for the tool you are testing.

QuestionFoxy answerWhy it matters for 5+ personasYour tool
Can I create a face from a description, with no photo? No. Own photos or a Shop characterOriginal personas need a builder or a describe step
Can I train on photos of someone else?NoProtects people, but rules out consented model shoots
How many characters can I keep?No hard limit, 1 free slotKnow the ceiling before you build a roster
What does each extra character cost?10 credits per slotTen personas is nine extra slots
Does deleting a character return the slot?NoRecasting a failed persona costs again
Can two characters share one image? Not yetCollabs between personas need this
Does each persona keep its own voice? Not statedShared voices make personas sound alike
Do unused credits roll over?Yes, while the account is activeUneven posting weeks waste less
Can I spend credits after cancelling? No, balance kept until you resubscribeCancelling pauses the whole roster

Worked example, illustrative only. Say you want five fictional personas on Foxy. You cannot train them on generated faces, because uploads must be photos of you. So you either buy five Shop characters at whatever the Shop charges that day, or you make five styled versions of yourself at 10 credits per extra slot, which is 40 credits. Neither gives you five original faces you designed. On a describe-first tool, the same five personas are five casting runs, and the cost question becomes credits per persona setup instead of slots. Swap in the real prices from the tool you are testing.

Run the scorecard against Oakgen

Describe a persona, cast it and check the credit price on each step before you build the second one.

Test a persona build

Common mistakes when you switch from Foxy

  • Comparing plan prices without the billing period. Foxy's homepage showed yearly prices per month ($6) while its feature page showed monthly ($9). Ryla and Higgsfield also show yearly equivalents. Compare the same period.
  • Assuming slot counts are the limit. On Foxy the limit for fictional personas is the own-photos rule, not the slot count.
  • Uploading a model's photos to get around a rule. Every tool here asks for consent, and Foxy forbids it outright. Do not start a persona from a real person who did not agree.
  • Choosing on realism claims. Every vendor says its faces are the most realistic. Run the same prompts on each and compare at phone size and at 100 percent.
  • Forgetting labels. Switching tools does not change the platform rules. Check AI influencer disclosure rules by platform before you post.
  • Giving every persona the same voice. If your new tool has voices, assign one per persona and never share it.

When Foxy is the better choice

Stay with Foxy if the content is of you. Three photos, templates by category and video clips with automatic sound are a short path to more posts of your own face. That is the job Foxy is built for, and none of the alternatives above are simpler for it.

Foxy also fits if you want an exclusive ready-made character and do not want to design one. A Shop character is sold to one owner and stays in your account if you cancel, which none of the other tools here offer in the same way. And at $6 a month billed yearly, its entry price is the lowest in this list.

Move on when you need original faces you designed, more than a handful of characters with their own voices, or a free plan to test with. If that is you, start one persona in the Oakgen AI Influencers studio, run the drift test on it, and add the second persona only once the first holds up.

Build your next persona in Oakgen

Describe them, cast a face, run the photoshoot and save a voice, then use them in any image, video or voiceover.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best Foxy AI alternative for running several AI influencers?

It depends on how the personas are made. If each persona is a new fictional face, pick a tool that builds characters from a written description: Oakgen AI Influencers, Ryla or OpenArt Characters. Ryla and OpenArt state a character cap per plan. Oakgen has no character cap in its library code as of November 2026 but needs a paid plan. Foxy fits best when the content is of you.

Can I make more than one character on Foxy AI?

Yes. Foxy's help centre, read on November 4, 2026, says there is no hard limit. Each subscription includes one free character slot, and each extra slot costs 10 credits. The catch is that you may only train characters on photos of yourself. A character not based on you has to be a pre-made AI influencer bought from the Foxy Shop.

How much does Foxy AI cost?

As of November 4, 2026, foxy.ai showed Starter at $9 a month for 80 credits, Creator at $39 for 350 credits and Pro from $79 for 750 credits on monthly billing. With yearly billing the homepage showed $6, $26 and $53 a month. Pro scales to larger credit tiers. The old foxy.ai/pricing address does not load; the prices sit on the homepage.

Is Foxy AI the same as FoxyAI?

No. foxy.ai is the creator tool that makes AI photos and videos of you or of a pre-made AI influencer. FoxyAI at foxyai.com is a real estate company that uses computer vision on property photos. A 2024 press release and some review sites also describe an AI companion chat product under the Foxy name, with message-based plans. Those prices do not describe the current foxy.ai photo tool.

Is Foxy AI legit?

Foxy is a working product with a help centre, published plans and automatic credit refunds for failed generations. Reviews are mixed. Its AI influencers page says it is rated 4.9 on Trustpilot, while the Trustpilot page we read showed a 3.5 TrustScore from only 4 reviews, one of them a billing complaint. Screenshot your plan and cancellation, and check the billing period before you pay.

Can I use photos of a model or a friend on Foxy AI?

No. Foxy's help centre says you can only upload photos of yourself, both for training and for any other upload, to prevent impersonation and non-consensual content. Oakgen lets you start from a photo but asks you to use only people who agreed, and most persona work there starts from a written description instead.
