30-second AI video just got dramatically cheaper

1. Wan3.0 turns mixed references into a 30-second video

  • Wan3.0 can generate clips up to 30 seconds long.
  • One prompt can combine text, images, video, audio, PDFs, web pages, and PowerPoint files.
  • Standard 1080p pricing is $0.20 per generated second, so a 30-second clip is $6 before any retries or variants.

Use it like this: give the model a product deck, two reference images, and one audio track. Ask for a 15-second first pass. Lock the structure before paying for the 30-second version.

2. A simple visual workflow: Whorl → Flux 3

Fast Company highlighted two tools with different jobs:

  • Whorl is a hands-on canvas for animated 3D graphics. Start from a template or blank canvas, then adjust the palette, shapes, aspect ratio, text, and 3D effects.
  • Flux 3 generates short video clips from a text prompt or from image start and end frames. It supports clips up to 20 seconds, with optional audio.

Use them together: build the graphic frame in Whorl, export a still, use it as the first frame in Flux 3, then make format and model variants from the same brief.

3. Removing Gemini's visible watermark does not remove provenance

Android Police reports that Gemini can omit the visible watermark while Google's invisible SynthID marker remains embedded in the generated image. The visible badge and the underlying provenance signal are separate.

Practical takeaway: do not treat a clean-looking export as proof that an asset has no AI provenance. Keep source files and generation records when a client or platform may ask how an asset was made.

A workflow to try in Oakgen

Keep one brief stable. Generate the key image, turn it into a short video, then test alternate models and formats without rebuilding the job from scratch.
