What image formats can I upscale?

Use JPG/JPEG, PNG, or WebP source images. Topaz's output choices in Oakgen are JPEG and PNG. Keep your source file and review the enlarged output; severely compressed or tiny inputs may not contain enough detail for the result you need.

What's the maximum resolution I can upscale to?

Oakgen exposes a 1–4x scale factor. Multiply both starting dimensions by the selected factor to calculate the nominal output size: 1024 × 1024 becomes 4096 × 4096 at 4x, while 600 × 600 becomes 2400 × 2400. This is not a promise that every source can become 4K or that added detail will be accurate.

Is the AI Image Upscaler free to use?

Upscaling uses Oakgen credits. Review the current plans and the charge displayed for your selected settings before generating. A larger factor can change the charge; paid tiers do not add separate upscaler models to this Topaz workspace.

Can I use the upscaled images commercially?

Check that you have the necessary rights to the source image and that your intended use complies with Oakgen's terms and applicable provider requirements. Upscaling does not grant rights to another person's artwork, brand, or likeness.

How does AI image upscaling work?

AI enhancement predicts detail while enlarging an image. It can improve the appearance of edges and texture, but predicted details can differ from the source. Compare the output at full size, especially around faces, labels, and important product features.
